The discovery has ended the search of her whereabouts by friends and the university community.

As at the time of filing this report, the cause of her death was yet to be ascertained.

A statement issued by the Acting Public Relations Officer of the institution, Okwun Omeaku, disclosed that the University community was shocked on Friday, July 5, 2024, by the distressing discovery of a lifeless body of the student found in a drainage near Akanu Ibiam Stadium in Enugu.

Omeaku, however, averred that preliminary investigation revealed that the deceased, Okenyi Favour Oluchukwu, was a first-year student enrolled in the Department of Medical Laboratory Science of the University.
