Senator Garba Musa Maidoki, the elected senator for Kebbi South Senatorial District in Kebbi State, has reiterated his commitment to significantly enhance the quality of political representation and initiate sustainable development programs aimed at improving the welfare of the people.
Maidoki emphasised that his primary objective in assuming this role was to restore effective representation to the people, showcase exceptional leadership capabilities that surpass previous experiences, address the issue of under-representation, and establish a promising future for his constituents.
“The people of Kebbi South deserve exemplary representation, and it is imperative to bring federal presence to enable their full potential,” stated Maidoki
Recognizing the district’s notable individuals, he emphasised the need to maximize the region’s human capital resources.
With a determination to provide quality representation, Maidoki outlined his plan to regularly engage with his constituents through town hall meetings.
By understanding their needs and challenges in a timely manner, he intends to propose bills and motions that are relevant to their political progress and advancement.
Maidoki highlighted his advantage as a lawmaker, stemming from his grassroots background and close proximity to the people, enabling him to comprehend their struggles effectively.
Unlike the prevailing practice of elected legislators remaining passive and detached from their constituencies, the senator-elect from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) declared that he would be a servant-leader, committed to transforming the way things are done and delivering tangible results.
“I will introduce an unprecedented change in the way we operate, adopting an inclusive, people-centric style of representation,” Maidoki affirmed.
He pledged to seek input from critical stakeholders before endorsing or supporting any legislation, ensuring their voices are heard.
