Maimuna’s Memoir: Long And Short Queues At Fuel Stations

It’s not surprising to see cars queuing in a fuel station. Long queues for that matter. This is because of the fuel scarcity sometimes experienced in the country. But other times when there’s no scarcity of fuel, you see queues in some fuel stations and hardly any in others and you wonder what is wrong?

You hear a lot of drivers saying things like the meters of the fuel station not having many customers doesn’t read well or in other cases that those fuel stations adjust their meters. It makes you really wonder, how does such happen? Well, I was given one explanation by Altine’s cousin who is so crazy about cars. I was told that when it’s the case of adjusted meters, the meters actually pump less fuel into your fuel tank, than you paid for and mostly fill it up with air instead! He then proceeded to explain to me why he prefers fuel station A to fuel Station B. And you know why? It is because fuel station A sells finer fuel .
