The passenger seated beside me was watching unknown to me and when I looked up at him, he offered a kind smile and voiced what I was thinking. “This is indeed a scary lunch pack .”
I grinned and nodded in agreement putting the cardboard pack away from me. “I’m hungry but I can’t take this,” I finally stated. “You can try the juice, it’s not so bad and far better than the sponge cake,” he suggested. I did just that. The juice was manageable and I guessed he must be used to flying this airline to know the juice was better.
Just at the moment when I was on my last sip of juice, the air hostess came by to smile prettily at us to ask, “Would you like some more muffins?”MUFFINS? I wondered. Last time I checked, it was an apology of a sponge cake!I smiled politely, “The sponge cake you mean?” I finally asked this lady that apparently didn’t have any knowledge in pastry arts.
