Carrot oil’s peculiarity is that it increases the resistance of the skin to sunlight. It is one of the best natural skin-lighteners. Carrot seed oil is widely used in many cosmetic products. A wide range of anti-aging cosmetic products use carrot seed oil as an ingredient, as it is a rich source of beta-carotene and vitamin A.

The business of producing carrot oil has proven to be quite profitable because it does not necessitate a significant amount of financial investment. This makes it an ideal venture for individuals who may have limited resources but are still looking to start their own business.

MIDTERM REPORT: Economy Progresses In Policies, Challenged In Implementation

Speaking with the founder, Starry_naturel, a producer of carrot oil, Senami Simeon, says, with just N20,000, one can take the first step towards establishing its own business in this field.

Profitability

There is profit in this business as people tend to buy items that augment their physical appearance. For instance, if you put N20,000 into this business, you can make a profit of 100 percent. You can get more than 2 litres of carrot oil with a N20,000 investment.

Another benefit of this particular business is its flexibility, which allows one to combine it with other ventures. To him, “I started this business when I was in my final year of college and at the 200 level at the university. This means that one can effectively balance other responsibilities while also generating income through this business.”

Materials

With just a few simple items such as a manual grater, bowl and knife, you can easily produce carrot oil. But if you plan on producing large quantities of carrot oil, it may be worth investing in a machine that can grate the carrots more efficiently.

Training

You must acquire knowledge before you go into this business because there are three major processes for making carrot oil, which includes; Cold-pressed, hot-pressed, and double-boiled methods.

Marketing

With the rise of digital media, Senami said, leveraging online platforms like social media, email marketing campaigns, and targeted advertising on search engines and other websites is also essential. You can raise brand recognition and loyalty as well as product exposure and awareness by reaching your target audience through a variety of channels.
