A resident of Warri in Delta State, Frank Ugberase, has raised the alarm over moves by certain persons in the Ologhe Ebelle Community in Edo State, mandating him to produce his nephew, Evidence Ugberase, who was accused of engaging in a bisexual relationship considered taboo in their community.

Narrating his ordeal to newsmen, Frank, who insisted that he had not seen his nephew since he left Warri in 2023, said, “My nephew: Evidence Ugberase was accused of a bisexual relationship with another man, prompting the community to demand his appearance for trial and potential punishment, including ritual sacrifices.

“I told them that we have been trying to locate Evidence since January 2023, but he has remained in hiding, causing reputational damage to their family.

“This would make it the third time people who claim to be from Ologhe Ebelle Community would be coming to my home in Festac town, Lagos, with a stern warning that if my nephew (Evidence) continues to evade the spiritual cleansing being organised by the community, I would be dealt with.

“They even insisted that their community has a strict tradition of punishing offenders who engage in acts considered abominable, including bisexual relationships.
