The pump price of fuel has gone up again in Enugu.

Until recently, petroleum marketers reduced the pump price of fuel, a development that brought reprieve to the masses.

Before the recent increments, our exclusive investigations revealed that almost all the marketers were selling fuel at between N900 and N910 per litre.

But our recent investigation revealed that the Independent Petroleum Marketers are now selling fuel at between N930 and N940 per litre.

Most of the marketers who spoke in an exclusive interview with our correspondent attributed the hike to the ongoing war in the Middle East.

” You know that we are in a global village, and when there is war, especially in the Middle East, where oil plays a big role in the economy, it will have ripple effects,” a marketer who identified himself as Obinna Maduagwu stated.

But another marketer who spoke anonymously claimed that the places where they buy the product also increased the price for them.

” My brother, when you buy a product, you are expected to make gain so don’t expect us to be selling at that old price, things have changed,” he stated.
