The Senator representing Rivers East Senatorial District, Allwell Heacho Onyesoh DSSRS, JP has commended President Bola Tinubu for his commitment to the welfare of Nigerian civil servants.
A statement signed by his Special Adviser on Publicity and Communications, Oriri Peter, Senator Onyesoh acknowledged the decision to increase salaries of civil servants from 25% to 35% by the President as a bold step that demonstrates his  profound understanding of the challenges faced by workers and a genuine desire to uplift their standard of living.
Senator Onyesoh, known for his advocacy for fair wages and equitable treatment of workers, considered the President’s decision as a significant stride towards ensuring that the toils and sacrifices of Nigerian workers are duly recognized and rewarded.
He emphasised that a well-compensated workforce is not only essential for individual prosperity but also crucial for national development and stability.
“As a representative of the people and a staunch advocate for the rights of workers, I remain committed to championing policies and initiatives that prioritize the welfare and interests of Nigerians. I firmly believe that every worker deserves a dignified standard of living commensurate with their contributions to the nation’s progress.
“On this special day, let us all join hands in celebrating the resilience, dedication, and invaluable contributions of Nigerian workers to the socio-economic development of our great nation. Together, we can build a future where every worker is empowered to thrive and prosper,” the statement said.
