An Abuja-based digital news platform, Daylight Reporters has announced a new editorial leadership team as part of efforts to strengthen its operations and enhance the quality of its journalism.
The organisation appointed seasoned journalist and editor, Fidelis Mac-Leva, as Editor-in-Chief, while Anthony Maliki and Adah Sunday Abah were named Editor and News Editor, respectively.
In a statement, the management said the appointments are aimed at repositioning its editorial operations and expanding its coverage of governance, security, politics and development issues.
Chief Executive Officer of the company, Dahiru Hassan Kera, said the appointments underscore the organisation’s determination to deepen quality journalism and strengthen public-interest reporting.
“These appointments reflect our resolve to deliver more rigorous, fact-based and people-centred reporting. Politics, governance, security and development issues affecting Nigerians remain our priority,” Kera stated.
He reaffirmed the platform’s commitment to independent, timely and impactful journalism, noting that the new editorial team would help drive its vision of providing credible news and holding public institutions accountable.
