British broadcaster, Piers Morgan, has claimed Lionel Messi is not the greatest Argentinian player of all time.
Morgan stated this on X while responding to the results of a Marca poll.

The poll named Messi, who now plays for Inter Miami in MLS, the greatest player of all time.

Messi finished ahead of eternal rival Cristiano Ronaldo and the late Brazil football legend, Pele.

However, Morgans quote-retweeted the results and wrote: “Messi’s not even the greatest Argentinian player of all time.”

Messi is the only player to win the Ballon d’Or eight times. Ronaldo is next with five.
