Chief Legal Adviser Worldwide of the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM), Mr. Davidson Adejuwon, has said that the church will not tolerate any attempts to tarnish its image or that of its leadership.

This statement comes in the wake of a U.S. court ruling in Baltimore County, presided over by Theresa Adams, imposing a $50,000 fine on Nigerian blogger Funke Asekun for defaming Dr. Daniel Olukoya, the General Overseer of MFM.

Adejuwon, a lawyer, urged the public and the media to conduct thorough fact-checks before publishing stories to avoid spreading falsehoods.

He noted the significance of MFM as an Apostolic Revival Church and its commitment to a divine mandate under the leadership of Dr. D. K. Olukoya.

“There is no way you deliberately and devilishly collide with such and not be grounded. I implore the public and the media to do proper checks before publishing stories or sharing lies and falsehoods against the church…We will not fold our arms anymore on such unacceptable trends in our society,” he stated.

The U.S. court’s judgement favoured MFM USA and three pastors who filed the lawsuit against Asekun.

Prior to the legal action, the church accused the blogger of spreading erroneous and fallacious statements on social media, damaging the image and reputation of Dr. Olukoya and the ministry.
