He added that, there’s the need to find a creative way of sourcing for the funds to get the vulnerable populace in Nigeria get out of poverty and become economically viable.
He called on development partners and kind hearted philanthropists to join hands with the federal government through his office for the enormous task to succeed and make Nigeria a better place for all.
He praised all religious leaders for working and supporting government efforts in taking care of the vulnerable and encouraging the vulnerable to believe in themselves and the government, adding that, the Government of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is concerned about every citizen’s welfare. Hence the need for all hands to be on deck to support the humanitarian cause.
Dr. Doro emphasised that, the ministry is designing a programme to be able to look at persons with concerns and to enable them to exit poverty and live with dignity. Hence, the One Humanitarian, One Poverty Reduction System programme.
He appreciated the Arch Bishop of Abuja, Bishop Ignatius Ayau Kaigama and his team for finding time to visit the ministry out of the tight schedule of his religious duties.
He hoped to partner with the religious leader for a good cause of humanity and nation building. He thanked the Archbishop for his interest in uplifting the vulnerable and for praying for the Government to succeed.
Earlier in his address, the Archbishop said by virtue of his religious duties “ we meet a lot of people in the villages who are in dire needs to survive, that informed our decision to come and interact with you and to see where the government can come in, since we can only do a portion,” he said.
The Archbishop of Abuja sought for partnership with the Government in the areas of uplifting the vulnerable in the society.
He thereafter offered a special prayer for the ministry and the nation to succeed.
