We are currently reviewing the proposal and hopeful for collaboration,” Salako said in Abuja during the 50th National Convention (IJTEMA) of the Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya Nigeria (Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Organisation).

Salako stressed the crucial need for greening efforts in Nigeria, a country known for its strong connection to nature.

The minister highlighted the significance of nature-based solutions in addressing climate-related challenges, many of which are human-made. Emphasizing the importance of proper management and utilisation of natural resources in mitigating these challenges.

He outlined the government’s top priority to enhance the Nigerian environment through various greening efforts, including promoting urban greenery, tree planting, flower cultivation, and discouraging harmful practices like cutting trees, particularly due to their impact on the environment.
