Self-acclaimed investigative journalist and social media influencer, Kemi Olunloyo, has taken a swipe at Israel DMW, an aide of popular Afrobeat singer, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, over his boast that DMW “is the safest record label” in Nigeria.

DMW is the abbreviations for Davido Music World, a record label owned by Davido, where Israel DMW serves as the logistics manager.

LEADERSHIP reports that the controversy is not unconnected to the recent death of a 27-year-old artist and former Malian Records signee, Promise Oladimeji Aloba, a.k.a Mohbad.

Mohbad’s family and fans believed that his travails leading to his sudden death might not be unconnected to his alleged maltreatment by his former record label boss and fellow singer, Naira Marley.

Kemi Olunloyo, who took to her social media pages on Sunday morning, however, disagreed with Davido’s aide, saying DMW couldn’t have been the safest record label in Nigeria having lost seven persons in quick succession in recent years and allegedly affiliated to unnamed cult groups.

She claimed that Israel DMW’s claim was targeted at Marlian Records, insisting that it was unnecessary to do so, as all the record labels were “birds of the same feather.”

Kemi Olunloyo wrote: “Davido world’s is the safest record label boss” Israel DMW boasts. What manner of speech is that?

“Israel don’t let me open your files over there. DMW lost 7 people in the 30BG label and you over there have cultist affiliations. It’s absolutely NOT necessary to shade Marlian records as you’re all birds of the same feather

“There is no safe record label. We hear they worship the devil all the time at Sony music, a major global music label. This was revealed shockingly by Michael Jackson before he died. He said he lived in the Illuminati and traded everything for money and fame as a devil worshipper.”
