The death has occurred of Hajia Fatima Yusuf-Ajibola. She died on Tuesday night, January 30, 2024.
Aged 110 years, she passed on in her hometown, Ife Olukotun, in Yagba East LGA of Kogi State, after a brief illness.
The centenarian was a devoted Muslim who left behind many children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Among the children she left behind are HRH, Alh Isiaq Ajibola (Akogun of Ife-Olukotun), a former Managing Director of Daily Trust Newspaper; Hajia Ayisat Lasisi, and Hajia Sabitiu Hussain.
She will be buried at 11am on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, in accordance with the Islamic rites.
A statement from her family added that her three-day fidau prayers will come on Friday, February 2, 2024, at her residence in Ife-Olukotun, Yagba East LGA of Kogi State.
