Mudiame University has marked a significant milestone with its fourth matriculation ceremony, welcoming a new set of students into its growing academic community.

The event, held at the university’s campus in Irrua, Edo State, showed the institution’s commitment to academic excellence, technological innovation, and societal development.

In his address, the Founder and Chancellor of Mudiame University, Prof. Sunny Eromosele, described the occasion as a testament to the university’s steady growth and dedication to its vision.

Eromosele highlighted the institution’s mission to contribute to the sustainable welfare of society through expertise in science, technology, and business while fostering teaching, research, and community service.

He noted that since the maiden matriculation in 2022, student intake has steadily increased each year, reinforcing the university’s role as a beacon of knowledge, innovation, and excellence.

Eromosele emphasised the university’s strategic partnerships, particularly its recent agreement with the University West in Sweden, which will facilitate student exchange programs and enhance research collaborations.

He explained that the partnership would strengthen students’ global exposure and professional experiences, ensuring they are equipped with practical skills and leadership qualities.

Beyond academics, the Chancellor reaffirmed the university’s commitment to empowering students through various initiatives.

Eromosele spoke on the entrepreneurial development programme designed to encourage innovation and self-sufficiency, as well as the community service initiatives aimed at fostering social impact.

He also highlighted the university’s industry placement programs, which bridge the gap between education and the workforce, and the Employability Guarantee Scheme, which ensures outstanding students receive automatic job placements upon graduation.

In his remarks, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Danjuma Danshik Dajab, urged the newly admitted students to embrace the university’s culture of academic excellence and innovation.
He reminded them that their admission was based on merit and encouraged them to seize every opportunity for intellectual growth, research, and personal development.

Dajab assured them that Mudiame University is dedicated to producing future leaders who will drive technological advancements in agriculture, food safety, energy, health, manufacturing, oil and gas, security, and transportation.

The Vice-Chancellor urged the students to take advantage of the university’s e-library, research facilities, and foreign exchange programs to sharpen their problem-solving skills on a global scale.

Dajab also cautioned against engaging in cultism, bullying, and other vices that could jeopardise their academic journey, emphasizing that the university maintains a strict disciplinary standard.

Expressing gratitude to the Founder and Chancellor for his vision in establishing Mudiame University, Professor Dajab assured parents that their children would graduate as globally competitive professionals.

He emphasised that the institution remains committed to exceeding expectations by equipping students with the knowledge and skills needed to thrive in a rapidly evolving world.
