Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang has described former military administrator of Akwa Ibom State, Senator Tunde Ogbeha, as a patriotic Nigerian and astute politician whose contributions have significantly enriched the growth, peace and development of Nigeria.
Mutfwang in a congratulatory message to the senator on the occasion of his 76th birthday recalled Ogbeha’s selfless and invaluable service during his tenure as administrator during the military era.
The message which was signed by the director of press and public affairs Gyang Bere noted that Senator Ogbeha’s remarkable service during those times endeared him to the people, leading to his election as a senator when democracy was restored in 1999.
The governor expressed admiration for Ogbeha’s unwavering passion, dedication and patriotism.
He commended his humility in public service which he said had served as an inspiration not only to himself but also to many Nigerians who had the privilege of meeting him.
Governor Mutfwang also expressed his delight in Senator Ogbeha’s pivotal role in stabilising the PDP in Plateau State leading up to the 2023 general elections.
He said Ogbeha’s fatherly role in resolving party issues would be eternally cherished by the people of Plateau while he prayed for continued wisdom and good health
