Plateau State government and the senator representing Plateau Central Senatorial District, Diket Plang, have commended the #EndBadGovernance protesters in the state for exercising their constitutional right to protest with a high level of discipline and respect for public property.
A statement in Jos by the commissioner for information and communication, Hon. Musa Ashoms said the protest in Plateau State was a refreshing departure from the often chaotic and destructive narratives that often accompanied such demonstrations in the past.
He pointed out that Governor Caleb Mutfwang had rightly acknowledged the right of citizens to express their grievances peacefully and lauded the protesters for choosing a non-violent approach to convey their message.
The statement said the decision of the protesters to clean up the streets after their demonstrations was a testament to their civic consciousness and love for their community, adding that they had set an example on how such incidents can be conducted.
Senator Plang commended the leadership of various youth groups and their members for the peaceful conduct.
