The immediate-past governor of Kaduna State, Malam Nasir El-Rufai, has congratulated his first wife, Hadiza Isma El-Rufai, on her birthday anniversary on Saturday, saying his life took a positive turn for good when they got married about four decades ago.
El-Rufai, also a former Minister of FCT, took to his verified social media handles to disclose this in a ‘Special Birthday Prayers’ on Saturday, praising Hadiza to high heavens even as he described her as a ‘bundle of brains, beauty and brawn’.
The former governor wrote: “Please join me and members of the El-Rufai Family to wish my best friend, university classmate, teenage sweetheart and dearest wife, Hadiza Isma El-Rufai a very happy birthday. We pray for Almighty God to continue to bless her with good health, long life and happiness.
“Hadiza is a bundle of brains, beauty and brawn, holder of three masters’ degrees – in architecture, business administration, and creative writing – fluent in French and a published novelist. I am immensely proud to call her my wife, my partner and enduring pillar of support.
“My life began to have meaning when we married nearly 40 years ago. She is a taskmaster and disciplined organizer of our home and our lives.
“Please join our family in not only thanking her for these and more, but being the proud mother of Hon Bello El-Rufai, his many siblings and the best grand-mom to our three cute grandchildren.”
