EDUCATION
I completed my primary education at the popular LEA primary school located along railway down quarters and attended Mascot secondary school Kaduna.
At 19 years, I enrolled into a youth acquisition programme called (YESAP) and afterwards, I was trained at exhale training institute on cosmetology.
As a matter of fact, I attended a lot of seminars and read a lot of inspirational books such as; Confident Women, Millionaire Mindset, Power of Education, just to mention a few and all this inspired me that one can be whatever one wants to be.
After my training at the institute of cosmetology, I was retained by my boss, who commended my hard work, determination and end result. I worked there for three years plus, before leaving for the Kaduna State Polytechnic to pursue my National Diploma (ND) programme in 2017. Immediately after completing my ND in 2019, I established a humanitarian avenue, where I always visited orphanage homes within Kaduna State because I was passionate about my passion for humanity and my desire to Improve on lives . This was largely because I found it unacceptable that women and innocent children suffered without being given adequate care and the needed sense of belonging.
CHALLENGES
Like any other journey, I have faced my fair share of challenges. Some of these include navigating the competitive nature of my chosen field, managing the demands of running a business, humanitarian outlets etc, and balancing personal and professional commitments. However, I see challenges as opportunities for growth and learning, and I strive to overcome them with determination and perseverance.
ANY REGRETS?
Well, not at all. Regrets are a natural part of life and if there’s going to be any I would prefer to focus on the lessons and growth that come from them rather than dwelling on them. I believe that every experience, whether positive or negative, shapes us and helps us become better versions of ourselves.
The major challenge I have is that of capital and mobility, running a charity organization without capital and mobility to be able to move from one location to another is frustrating.
My organisation is battling with the establishment of a store or warehouse where aspiring and very committed young girls and women can be trained and empowered in various skills such as hair dressing, massage and in the production of organic cream.
This is because, when you empower one woman, you empower the whole nation. This is why I will remain grateful to all our partners who have sponsored us over the years and still counting. I am particularly grateful to the immediate past government of Mallam Nasir el’Rufia (Specifically, the commissioners of Health, Planning and Budget, Human Services and Social Development, as well as the UNFPA, Primary health care board Kaduna State and the leadership of. Nigeria brewery, Delicia foods, Kaduna state civil society coalitions, and Ecaph. I earnestly pray and look forward to a better cooperation and partnership with the new government, and by so doing, achieve my long dream of attaining ‘zero tolerance’ of SGBV in the state and country at large.
Dealing with teenage girls and women has remained a major challenge. This notwithstanding, God is helping us. We have been able to address that aspect, reassuring them of a better future.
HOW ARE YOU DIFFERENT FROM OTHERS?
I am different from others because I am a dogged who see failures, delays and disappointment as a steppingstone to greater height. Giving up, failure is never in her DNA My whole life, I ‘ve seen women face a lot of challenges and less appreciated.
PROJECTIONS
Looking ahead, my projections involve expanding both my business and personal life. I aim to increase my fame and reach a wider global audience while improving and strengthening and expanding my reach. Additionally, I hope to get married in the process and continue growing both personally and professionally.
I strongly believe that my dream and hard work of advocating for the girl- child education, women reproductive development, sexual gender-based violence in the state and country at large will succeed and be celebrated the world over.
I long to be a better person and to be able to build personal orphanage homes for GBV survivors and orphans and thus, carter for the vulnerable persons in Nigeria.
HOW DO YOU COMBINE BUSINESS/PROFESSION WITH FAMILY LIFE?
Balancing business, profession, or trade with family life can be challenging. However, I believe it’s essential to prioritize and manage time effectively. Setting boundaries, delegating tasks, and maintaining open communication with family members are some strategies that can help achieve a healthy work-life balance.
