The National Hydroelectric Power Producing Areas Development Commission (N-HYPPADEC has presented relief materials  to victims of attacks in  five local government areas of Plateau State.

The local government areas are Mangu, Riyom, Bassa, Barkin Ladi and Bokkos. Items presented included bags of rice, mattresses, building materials, noodles and other foodstuff.

The acting managing director of  N-HYPPADEC, Mr. Jimoh Haruna Gabi while making the presentation in Jos yesterday, said the commission was people-friendly and community-oriented.

According to him, the commission decided to bring the foodstuff to the victims because it will give some immediate respite, and sympathise with them over the attacks.

He said N-HYPPADEC had also built and equipped a mobile police barracks in Gashish district of Barkin Ladi, supplied fertilizer, power tillers, planters and sprayers to encourage them to go back to farms.
