The founder of Atunlo Sustech and CarbonScope360, Ayo Ogunlowo, has unveiled a N100 million fund aimed at supporting impact-driven enterprises and youth-led innovations addressing social, economic, and environmental challenges across Nigeria.
Ogunlowo made the announcement during the launch of the Climate Beyond Borders Caravan in Abuja, describing the initiative as a strategic investment in innovative solutions capable of driving sustainable development and addressing pressing societal issues.
He explained that the fund, which will be financed directly by Atunlo Sustech, underscores his commitment to empowering businesses and young innovators developing practical responses to environmental degradation, social inequality, and economic challenges.
The initiative, according to him, aligns with his expanding international engagements in climate innovation, technology, youth participation, and responsible development.
Ogunlowo recently participated in the Web Summit Qatar, where discussions centred on translating climate technology from theoretical concepts into practical systems. He also featured at the YPS Global Consultation in New York, which focused on youth, peace, security, and global participation.
In addition, he led a Design Sprint on responsible artificial intelligence infrastructure and its impact on communities at Johns Hopkins Carey Business School’s UNLEASH 2026 programme.
Reflecting on these experiences, Ogunlowo said they had reinforced his belief that the efforts of Atunlo Sustech and the Atunlo Foundation must remain locally rooted while maintaining global relevance, with emphasis on transforming advocacy into measurable social and economic impact.
He further stressed the need for stronger collaboration between the private sector and government to ensure climate-related initiatives evolve into sustainable, policy-backed interventions rather than short-term projects.
Expressing optimism about the future, Ogunlowo noted that increased investment in grassroots innovation would not only strengthen climate action but also improve livelihoods and create opportunities for young Nigerians while advancing environmental sustainability.
