The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointing Mr. Ojulari as the Group Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd).
In a statement signed by its president, Comrade Olushola Oladoja, NANS described the move as “visionary, merit-driven, and strategic.”
The student body said Mr. Ojulari is a seasoned professional with integrity, vast experience, and a strong track record in the oil and gas sector.
“This remarkable choice shows the President’s commitment to placing capable hands in key national positions,” the statement read.
NANS expressed confidence that Mr. Ojulari will lead the NNPC Ltd with professionalism, vision, and accountability.
The group urged the new GCEO to prioritise the revival and completion of all Nigerian refineries.
It stressed that operational refineries would reduce dependence on imports, save foreign exchange, create jobs, and improve energy security.
“Achieving this will boost our economy and make petroleum products more affordable,” Oladoja said.
NANS pledged to partner with NNPC Ltd under Mr. Ojulari’s leadership to promote transparency, accountability, and youth engagement in the oil and gas sector.
It described the appointment as a step in the right direction for Nigeria’s economic future.
