National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has linked the improved administrative stability, staff welfare and youth development initiatives at the Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC) to the leadership of its executive secretary and chief executive officer, Barr. Aisha Rimi.
The association said the commission had recorded a more stable institutional environment under Rimi, particularly against the backdrop of internal and external disputes, administrative tensions and institutional challenges that previously characterised the agency.
NANS public relations officer, Comrade Obidah David, said there had been no reported recurrence of the disputes that previously disrupted the smooth administration of the commission since Rimi assumed office.
It attributed the development to responsible leadership, effective stakeholder engagement and a commitment to resolving institutional disagreements through constructive dialogue.
NANS further noted that the commission had continued to provide opportunities for industrial training (IT) students and members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) to acquire practical experience and develop professional competencies.
It called on President Bola Tinubu to take cognisance of the developments at the commission and consider Rimi for higher national responsibilities.
“Our position is that Nigeria’s quest for sustainable development requires the recognition, encouragement and strategic deployment of individuals who demonstrate the capacity to strengthen institutions, promote harmonious working environments and create opportunities for the next generation.
“Public service should be about impact, responsibility and the ability to leave institutions stronger than they were found,” it said.
