Nasarawa Deputy Gov Surprises 240 Widows With N10,000 Each

Nasarawa State deputy governor, Dr Emmanuel Akabe in  continuation of his support for the downtrodden in the state, has again distributed N10,000 each to 240 widows.

Hon Adamu Apasa, chairman of the committee disclosed this during the distribution exercise to widows across the 14 electoral wards, an exercise held at the palace of Aren Eggon in Nasarawa Eggon and Wamba local government council respectively.

The state deputy governor, Dr Emmanuel Akabe in his speech appealed to the beneficiaries to ensure the proper utilisation of the support given to them.

“Don’t use the money to eat chicken or suya, instead use it to boost your businesses,” he warnned them.

Akabe said the support accorded them is from his personal savings from his monthly salary. The deputy governor said he will ensure that he covers the 13 local governments of the state with the intent to reduce the plight of widows.

“ I have covered the entire five local governments ranging from Doma, Lafia, Obi, Keana, Awe in Nasarawa South Senatorial District and Akwanga, Nasarawa Eggon and Wamba in the northern zone.
