Nasboi has called out some bloggers over what he sees as one-sided reporting. He accused certain platforms of giving more attention to controversial stories while ignoring other important events and achievements.

He said he speaks about insecurity on X more than any other Nigerian celebrity.

However, according to him, bloggers rarely report those posts. Instead, they focus on his other tweets, creating the impression that he does not care about the country’s challenges.

Nasboi criticised bloggers for focusing on celebrity gossip while more important issues receive little attention, pointing to reports about the marriage of a popular television host as an example, arguing that such stories often dominate headlines while matters of great concern are ignored.

On his Instagram, he said:

“There is no celebrity in Nigeria who talks about insecurity in our country more than me. You can check it on Twitter. But whenever I speak about it and also tweet normal things, the only tweets Nigerian bloggers pick are the random ones, while they ignore the important tweets.”

“When they post those random tweets, people now think I’m insensitive. Again, but what is our business with the issue between Frank Edoho’s marriage? What concerns us about it? Nigerian bloggers will amplify those kinds of stories instead. When it comes to distracting people, most bloggers do. How many times have they amplified serious issues?”
