NATCOM DG Denounces Faction Claims As False, Misleading

The Director General of the National Commission for the coordination and control of the proliferation of small arms, ammunition and light Weapons , NATCOM, Dr Baba Mohammed has said there is not faction in the organization.

Baba in a statement shared with journalists in Abuja on Tuesday said a poorly written memo dated 5th June 2023 and signed by one Otunba Adejare Adegbenro who parades himself as the Director General of NATCOM, captioned; Termination/Dissolution of appointments.

He noted that the memo and caption can best be described as false, fake, fraudulent, malicious and misleading.

“It is a figment of the imagination of some mischievous elements who are desperate to cause misinformation and confusion.

“The National Commission for the coordination and control of the proliferation of small arms and light Weapons (NATCOM), remains focused, never factionalized and on course towards the take off of the commission.

“All appointments made under the leadership of Dr. Baba Mohammed remain intact.”
