Efforts to tackle youth unemployment and strengthen leadership development among young Nigerians will take centre stage at the Renewed Hope Youth Round Table 2026 scheduled to hold in Abuja.
The event, organised by the BAT Vanguard and Tinubu Support Group, will bring together delegates from the 36 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) for discussions on practical solutions to the major challenges facing Nigerian youths.
Scheduled for July 7, 2026, at the Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Centre, Abuja, the forum will convene policymakers, government officials, entrepreneurs, development partners, student leaders, youth advocates and other stakeholders to explore strategies for empowering young people and expanding their role in national development.
The organisers said the gathering is designed to promote youth participation in governance, leadership, entrepreneurship and economic growth, while creating opportunities for meaningful engagement between young Nigerians and decision-makers.
Themed “Youth Participation and the Renewed Hope Agenda: Building Nigeria’s Future Together,” the Round Table will focus on issues including youth unemployment, leadership development, innovation, education, technology, entrepreneurship and active citizenship.
According to the organisers, the forum seeks to inspire young Nigerians to embrace leadership responsibilities and contribute to nation-building through constructive engagement and innovative ideas.
Participants are expected to deliberate on policies and initiatives aimed at creating jobs, promoting entrepreneurship, strengthening democratic institutions and enhancing opportunities for youths across various sectors of the economy.
The event will feature keynote speeches, panel discussions, interactive sessions and networking opportunities involving experts and thought leaders from both the public and private sectors.
Speaking on the significance of the gathering, the National Convener of BAT Vanguard, Hon. Sola Olofin, said the Round Table would provide a platform for young Nigerians to contribute ideas capable of addressing pressing national challenges.
According to him, the initiative is intended to empower youths to become active participants in governance and drivers of sustainable development.
“The Renewed Hope Youth Round Table 2026 is more than an event; it is a movement aimed at empowering young Nigerians to take ownership of the nation’s future. By bringing together delegates from the 36 states and the FCT, we are creating a national platform for dialogue, collaboration and action that will strengthen youth participation in governance and contribute to building a more united, prosperous and inclusive Nigeria,” he said.
The event, which is being managed by ASO Multi Media, is expected to attract thousands of participants, including representatives of youth organisations, government agencies, development institutions, civil society groups, traditional leaders and private sector stakeholders.
Organisers expressed optimism that the forum would generate actionable recommendations on youth empowerment, job creation and leadership development, while strengthening collaboration between government and young people in advancing Nigeria’s democratic and economic progress.
