The movement named: “To Build a Nation” Tour with the theme, “The Reawakening of Nation Builders” was officially launched at the University of Abuja (UNIABUJA).

At the launch of the tour led by the convener, Daniel Otabor, participants were equipped with essential leadership skills and inspired to embrace servant-leadership that prioritises Nigeria above self-interest.

It also featured a workshop on Artificial Intelligence (Al) which showcased its vital role in shaping the future, giving the participants insight into how technology can support national development and leadership in the 21st century.

The event was attended by the dean, Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Abuja, Professor Mutillahi Adebayo Olasupo, chief executive officer of Cyberpedia, Dr Sowemimo Abiodun and student leaders among others passionate about Nigeria’s future.

Otabor said Nigeria needs more servant leaders- leaders who are motivated by a deep desire to serve, not to be served.

“We must plant the seeds of service in the hearts of young Nigerians, ensuring that when the time comes to choose those who will lead us in influential and political positions, we will have a generation of principled, capable and visionary leaders to choose from,” he said.

According to him, the tour will move to universities across Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones, targeting campuses as breeding grounds for future nation-builders.

He said said the movement sought to inspire young, uncorrupted minds – students who are not only eager to learn but are committed to the sincere transformation of Nigeria.

He said by focusing on universities, the tour aimed at tapping into the potential of young Nigerians whose passion, creativity, and integrity remain untainted, harnessing their energy for national leadership.

“The tours launch at the University of Abuja, the nation’s seat of government, carries a powerful significance. It symbolises the alignment of this movement with the heart of Nigeria’s governance, amplifying the message that young people have the power to shape the nation’s future. The event was met with overwhelming support, as students gathered with enthusiasm to embrace their roles as future leaders.

“This tour is a movement, not just an event, it is about empowering young Nigerians to realize that they are the architects of Nigeria’s future. If we are deliberate about raising leaders now, Nigeria’s future will be in capable hands.

“Through workshops, leadership training, and inspirational sessions, the To Build a Nation Tour will equip students with the skills, mindset, and purpose to lead Nigeria into a new era of integrity and progress.

“As this movement continues, other destinations will be announced, with the tour set to reach every geopolitical zone in the country. This impactful journey invites both local and international sponsors, organizations, and individuals to join in this historic movement. This is an unparalleled Opportunity to invest in the future of Nigeria by supporting the development of a new generation of servant leaders.

“When we invest in young leaders today, we are securing the future of our nation. Sponsors and partners have the chance to be part of something transformative – a movement that will shape Nigeria for generations to come. Join us in ensuring that this movement reaches every corner of the nation, sparking the fire of leadership and service that will propel Nigeria to greatness,” Otabor stated.
