National president of the Arewa Traders Association Alhaji Adamu Hassan Ibrahim has disassociated the association from the planned nationwide protest by youths and other Nigerians across the country scheduled for the end of this month.

Briefing newsmen in Abuja at the weekend, the he  warned that such a protest would not augur well for the country and advised all traders nationwide to shun any entreaty to join what he described as an unjustified protest.

According to him, those calling for the protest are unpatriotic Nigerians who see nothing good in the efforts of President Bola Tinubu to revamp the nation’s economy for the well-being of all Nigerians.

Alhaji Hassan Ibrahim cautioned Nigerian youths to beware of some people he called “faceless nonentities” who want to plunge the country into a gargantuan catastrophe for their selfish interests.

He recalled the EndSARS crisis which took many lives and property running into billions, saying, “We must not dare repeat that terrible incident which at the end of the day, we traders and other innocent Nigerians mostly youths, are often the victims and or losers in that kind of act of brigandage.”
