NDE Empowers 70 Graduates In Osun

National Directorate of Employment (NDE) in Osun State has empowered no fewer than 70 graduates with entrepreneurship skills and starter parks.

The fit that was achieved at the programme organised by the Small Scale Enterprise department of the directorate in Osun tagged “flag-off on conduct of Start Your Own Business (SYOB)” witnessed entrepreneurship training and provision of starter packs for beneficiaries.

In his keynote address at the event, the director-general of NDE, Mallam Abubakar Nuhu Fikpo who was represented by Osun State coordinator, Mr Fakunle Julius, congratulated the beneficiaries and urged them to make the best use of skills acquired and starter packs obtained.

He expressed the directorates commitment to providing soft landing for unemployed graduates by empowering them in line with the New Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu’s administration and making them self -reliant.

Earlier in his welcome address, the HOD, Small Scale Enterprise of Osun NDE Mr. Rasaq Oyekanmi charged participants to key into the programme and cast their minds off none existing white collar jobs.

He reiterated the commitment of the National Directorate of Employment to create a conducive atmosphere for young graduates to thrive and become self -sufficient and self- reliant.

 

 

 

Oyekanmi admonished beneficiaries to make judicious use of the starter packs given and maximise the skills potential they acquired at the training programme.
