NEM Group Subsidiaries Exceed Expectations, Reward Outstanding Employees

Members of NEM Group gathered at the 2025 end of year party to count their blessings and appreciate God Almighty for His marvellous deeds in time past and the outgoing year.

The event which held in Lagos, at the company’s Head Office was attended by members of the Group – NEM Insurance Plc, NEM Asset and NEM Health; clients, friends and well-wishers.

The group chairman, Tope Smart, appreciated the employees and clients that contributed to the tremendous results recorded by the group in 2025, noting that through the grace of God and support of the partners, the group exceeded its projections for the year.

He noted that the contributions made by the subsidiaries have led to many awards and recognitions accorded members of the group in the year.

According to him, the Group would continue to build on the strides attained, whilst offering robust services to clients and impacting the economy.

Smart noted that, as part of the Group’s expansion initiatives, two new branches were opened this year and it hopes to acquire a Life Assurance Licence and establish foreign branches across Africa in 2026.
The managing director, NEM Insurance Plc, Andrew Ikekhua, expressed gratitude to God for enabling the Group to have a successful year, whilst appreciating the staff and clients for their contributions.

To express the Group’s appreciation to the employees, those who distinguished themselves were rewarded with awards.

Outstanding staff were recognised for their dedication and excellence: Miss Damilola Ajewole (Legal and Compliance, NEM Insurance Plc) won the Best Staff of the Year; Julius Elusakin (Strategy Unit, NEM Insurance Plc) becomes the Best Manager of the Year; Pham Blessing Nnyagu (NEM Health Limited) was the Best Staff of the Year while Mr. Oluwaseun Adeoye (NEM Asset Management Limited) won the Best Staff of the Year Award.

The event also honoured retirees, James Onorienbohwo and Amos Omolewa for their years of service. Many other employees received awards recognising their valuable contributions.
The celebration underscored NEM Group’s commitment to excellence, client service, and positive economic impact as it looks ahead to continued growth in 2026
