Speaking at the meeting, Minister of State for Budget and Economic Planning, Dr. Doris Uzoka-Anite, stressed that Nigeria is entering a critical phase of consolidating its development framework, with a strong focus on private sector growth, Micro small and Medium, and inclusive development across rural and urban communities. She noted that government is intensifying efforts to generate community-level data to drive targeted, evidence-based planning across all 774 Local Government Areas.

Dr. Uzoka – Anite acknowledged Germany’s sustained support in key sectors, including renewable energy, agriculture, and policy development, while calling for deeper collaboration anchored on technical support, investment, and measurable outcomes that directly impact citizens.

“Our priority is clear every partnership must translate into tangible improvements in the lives of Nigerians, driven by data, accountability, and shared commitment,” she said.

The head of development cooperation, German Embassy Nigeria Dr. Karin Jansen reaffirmed Nigeria’s strategic importance as a partner and highlighted upcoming bilateral engagements aimed at deepening cooperation. The briefing also featured presentations outlining Germany’s extensive development portfolio in Nigeria, spanning governance, health, renewable energy, agriculture, and economic development, with a strong emphasis on rural inclusion and climate-resilient growth.
