The Nigeria-Korea Friendship Institute of Vocational and Advanced Technology, Lokoja, Kogi State, has appointed Mr Zakari Illiyasu as its new Deputy Rector.
The appointment, contained in a letter dated September 14, 2026, and signed by the Rector of the institute, Dr Onum Oba, takes effect immediately.
The management said the appointment was based on Illiyasu’s wealth of working experience and its confidence in his ability to effectively discharge the responsibilities of the office.
According to the letter, the institute expects the new Deputy Rector to bring passion and commitment to his duties and justify the confidence reposed in him.
Illiyasu’s appointment is for an initial term of three years, with the possibility of reappointment for a second and final term of two years, subject to satisfactory performance.
He was directed to submit a letter of acceptance and two recent passport photographs to the Office of the Registrar for documentation.
The management congratulated Illiyasu on his appointment and wished him success in his new role.
