Primate of the Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion), Most Reverend Henry Ndukuba, has assured Nigerians that the country is entering a season of divine restoration despite its current challenges.

Ndukuba made the declaration yesterday during the Durumi and Kabusa Missionary Archdeaconry Joint Pastoral Visit and Service of Confirmation, Induction and Admission in Abuja.

While speaking to journalists, the primate emphasised faith in God’s intervention, stating that, “For Nigerians, especially in this challenging time, our God is also showing us and helping us realise that this is the season of divine restoration. God will restore His people.

“No condition is permanent. We are trusting God that as things come into place economically, we are believing God for improvement and a greater change in the positive. We are also trusting God for stability.

“And as some of the policies come into place, we are trusting God that it will be well with Nigeria. We have not only travelled around this country but also around the world. There is no place where it is easy.”

He condemned corruption in Nigeria, describing it as the nation’s most formidable adversary.

“As we have always said, corruption is the most terrible enemy of this country. God has blessed us.

“But some use the positions given to them by God. Instead of serving the people, they serve themselves. And you can see that there is no difference between one political party or the other.

“There is no difference between one political party or the other. Nigerians are politicians, and our elites are not guided by principles or values or things that will be for the good of the people. It is always self-serving.

“We are praying that God will help them to turn a new leaf.

And where they refuse, God will know how to replace them, no matter who they may be,” he said.

Ndukuba encouraged Nigerians to remain steadfast, declaring, “Just as He has done in the past, He will do it again. And He will give us a reason to rejoice. So, Nigerians, stand strong.”

Speaking on the significance of the pastoral visitation programme, the Primate described it as the last for the year and expressed gratitude for the growth in church membership.

“We thank God for His grace and mercy in celebrating the faithfulness of God to us this year, 2025. In these visits, we pray for the infilling of the Holy Spirit and for families to live by God’s principles, especially in these trying times.

“The family is facing great challenges, economically, emotionally, spiritually, and socially. The enemy is fighting the truth of the Gospel.

“We are trusting God for salvation, deliverance, provision, and breakthroughs. There will be a turnaround,” he said.
