The Imo West Senatorial candidate of Labour Party, Chief Charles Ahize, has promised to provide quality representation to the people of Orlu zone if elected.

Ahize, a lawyer and businessman told Leadership that it was regrettable that despite being a key oil producing community, Ohaji-Egbema had no representation in LNG management saying it was wrong.

Ahize who founded the Obigbo movement and Ekwueme Vanguard to support late Dr Alex Ekwueme for President called for rotational Presidency.

He maintained that irrespective of the claims of the Imo State government, Orlu people had been reduced to refugees as they can no longer go to their communities due to insurgency.

Ahize said “Forget the claims, every person from Orlu has become a refugee in Owerri. Look at me, I can’t go to my country home in Ihioma, everyone there has absconded, it is very sad, and I’m not happy about it.

But I assure you that as Senator representing Imo West, I will personally lead a delegation to the President. I don’t support cessation but if the federal government granted repentant Boko Haram

member amnesty and drafted them into the military, they should extend same to IPOB and ESN members”, Ahize canvassed.

He appealed to people especially Ndigbo to go out and collect their Permanent Voters Cards to vote insisting that every vote will count.

“Let me make an appeal to our people, the new electoral law is working.

in Edo, Osun, and Anambra states. The votes will count. Ndigbo please collect your PVC and vote massively for the Labour Party, and together we will change the narrative. If we fail you in four years please vote us out. Nigerians please vote Peter Obi and Yusuf Datti.

“Let me ask you, are you not tired of a failed system? Please speak out as Journalists buying fuel at exorbitant costs. If you are arrested, I will send my team to defend you. But first, we must talk because even the N30,000 minimum wage cannot do anything for any Nigerian worker again”, Ahize said.

According to him, the Labour Party offers hope and trust, just believe us for four years. How can we continue to borrow money to finance the budget and for how long. If you go to Ohaji-Egbema, you will weap for our people. The same in Orlu, Ideato and everywhere. I don’t believe in trampling people’s rights but we must respect it”, the Obigbo founder said.
