Ayo Dosunmu, an American professional basketball player of Nigerian heritage, has earned a significant role over the past two seasons and is returning to the Chicago Bulls under a new contract.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, who spoke with Dosunmu’s agent, the guard, and the Bulls have reached an agreement on a three-year $21million contract.

Dosunmu, a restricted free agent who was selected in the second round of the 2021 NBA draft, entered the free agent market this offseason.

In light of Lonzo Ball’s persistent struggles with his knee injury recovery, Dosunmu has been an important player for Bulls head coach Billy Donovan.

In 41 games from January 15 to April 10, he scored 11.0 points on 52.1 percent shooting and 5.2 assists per contest.
