The Chief Executive Officer of Stanel Group and The Delborough Lagos, Dr Stanley Uzochukwu, has completed a High Performance Leadership programme in one of World best institutions, Oxford University London, in just months after completing multiple programmes in Harvard Kennedy School, United States.

Dr. Uzochukwu stands out as one of Nigeria’s most consequential business leaders of his generation, exemplifying visionary leadership, disciplined execution and a sustained commitment to national and continental development. As Founder and Executive Chairman of Stanel Group, he has built a diversified indigenous conglomerate whose growth trajectory reflects the innovation, resilience and strategic foresight.

Committed to continuous leadership development, Dr Uzochukwu has pursued advanced executive education at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, where he completed multiple programmes in 2025, including Emerging Leaders, Leadership Decision Making, Leading Successful Programs using Evidence, and Strategic Leadership for Personal Effectiveness. He also completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at UNIZIK Business School in December 2025, further strengthening the strategic and managerial depth that defines his leadership style.

Dr Uzochukwu founded Stanel Group in 2012, leading its transformation into a dynamic Nigerian conglomerate with investments spanning energy, hospitality and retail. Under his stewardship, the Group has expanded nationally, forged partnerships with multilateral institutions, strengthened local value chains and created thousands of direct and indirect jobs, even amid a challenging economic climate.

In November 2023, he further redefined Nigeria’s hospitality landscape with the launch of The Delborough Lagos, where he serves as Founder and Chief Executive Officer. In recognition of his exceptional leadership in hospitality, Dr Uzochukwu was honoured as “Seven Stars Man of the Year” and inducted into the Seven Stars Pantheon of Hospitality, affirming his influence in elevating African hospitality to global standards.

Beyond enterprise leadership, Dr Uzochukwu contributes meaningfully to institutional governance and policy engagement. The Oxford and Harvard trained strategist is currently the chairman of UNIZIK Advancement Board. He is a member of the DRC–Nigeria Business Council, a Governing Council Member of Igbinedion University, Okada, and a Board Member of UNIZIK Business School, Awka. Notably, he remains the youngest individual appointed to the Governing Council of Igbinedion University, a testament to the confidence reposed in his leadership.
