Nigerian media personality and social media influencer, Emmanuel Obruste, popularly known as GehGeh, has criticised Nigerian youths and the police over how they handle bad governance and insecurity in the country.

The influencer shared his thoughts in a post on his social media page. He compared the behaviour of citizens in South Africa to that in Nigeria.

He said that South African citizens and their security agencies work together better to solve national problems than people do in Nigeria.

“See how South African people came out to carry out a mission and their government supported them on the low. You see their police force supporting them, too,” the statement read. “But here in Nigeria, our police are looking for yahoo boys and private Chef girls, and the youths are not even ready to stand up to take back their country from these evil politicians.”

GehGeh also stated that the Nigerian police often waste time chasing internet fraudsters and lifestyle workers instead of focusing on major security problems. He also added that youths are not ready to stand up, face bad politicians, or demand real change in the country.
