Nigerians Will Judge Tinubu’s Plans By Their Lived Experience, Atiku Replies Masari

Presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, has said Nigerians’ lived experience will be the judge of how good President Bola Tinubu’s plans have been.

He stated this while replying former Katsina State governor, Aminu Bello Masari, who declared that he has never seen a president with a better plan than Bola Tinubu in the last 40 years.

Reacting, however, Atiku said the issue is not whether Tinubu has plans but whether they are making Nigerians safer and better off.

Speaking through his media aide, Paul Ibe, Atiku told LEADERSHIP that Masari is entitled to praise President Tinubu, but Nigerians will judge those “plans” by their lived experience.

He added, “Are the plans about petrol at record-high prices, soaring food and energy costs, worsening insecurity and the collapse of household purchasing power?

“If these are the best plans Masari has seen in nearly 40 years, then Nigerians are entitled to ask when the benefits will begin to show in their lives.

“And at a time of such hardship, the President is extending his stay in Paris while President Macron has moved on to New York to attend to France’s business at the UN General Assembly.

“The issue is not whether Tinubu has plans. The real question is whether those plans are making Nigerians safer and better off,” he said.
