Nigeria’s Economy Must Be Digital-driven To Survive – Entrepreneur

An Aba-based entrepreneur, John Udeagbala, has said the economy of the country must be digital-driven for it to survive in the global circle, expressing worry about the inadequacy of such skills.

Udeagbala stated this yesterday while delivering the 22nd Convocation lecture of Ogbonnaya Onu Polytechnic, Aba, and underscored the urgency to bridge the gap.

The entrepreneur, entitled the lecture as,  “Leveraging on Artificial Intelligence and Digital Technologies for Trade and Sustainable Industrial Development in Nigeria.”

The immediate past mayor of Aba North local government area, who described the gap as a fundamental challenge, noted that the youths have roles to play in finding its solution.

”The challenge for the graduates is to scale these innovations into the vast ecosystem of small and medium enterprises that power Aba’s industrial landscape.

”You can stay in your room and work. Please acquire these skills. This is why your amiable rector has brought this topic for us to talk about,” Udeagbala stated.

In his speech, the rector of the polytechnic, Christopher Okoro, said the lecture speaks to Abia State governor, Alex Otti’s drive for development through the use of AI and other forms of technologies.

‎Describing  Udeagbala as an accomplished businessman, he noted that the event provided them opportunity to appreciate Otti ‘s achievements in the polytechnic .
