The National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies(NILDS), Abuja, has won the Bureau of Public Service Reforms(BPSR) best federal government MDA in digital engagement.
The director general of the institute, Prof Abubakar Sulaiman, also bagged the award of the distinguished govtech trailblazer.
The two awards were presented to NILDS at the grand finale of the 2024 NigGovTech, Public Service Conference and Awards dinner in Abuja.
The conference which had as its theme: “Digital Innovation as a Catalyst for the Renewed Hope Agenda,” attracted awardees from ministries, departments and agencies.
The NILDS’ director of Studies, Dr. Asimiyu Abiola received the two awards on behalf of the director general, Prof. Abubakar Sulaiman.
The deputy governor of Niger State, Mallam Yakubu Garba presented the awards to the institute’s representative.
The organisers of the event said NILDS got the awards in recognition of its contributions to the national efforts towards total attainment of digitalisation of the public sector.
They added that NILDS’ paperless operational performance remains a catalyst for improved service delivery in the system, “which is deserving of the awards.”
