In a remarkable display of generosity, the chairman of the Kaduna State Volleyball Association (KADSVA), Engineer Musa Nimrod, has once again committed a substantial sum of 2.8 million Naira towards scholarships for talented volleyball players in Kaduna State.

This announcement was detailed in a statement released yesterday by Okpani Jacob Onjewu Dickson, a board member of KADSVA responsible for media communications. The statement highlighted that this annual scholarship initiative is aimed at supporting students enrolled in tertiary institutions across the nation.

According to KADSVA Secretary Adamu Mohammed, a total of 14 players from various tertiary institutions have benefitted from the scholarship programme, with each receiving N80,000. The recipients include Agape Sunday, Ramatu Abdulmalik, Joy Lawrence, Joy Osumuriyi, Fani Stephen, Patience Abuh, Ramatu Hamza, Emmanuel Nicholas, Jethro Danlami, Chinoye John, Esther Ogazi, Jamilu Musa, Bobai Andrew, and Mohammed Abubakar.

In addition to the scholarship awards, Nimrod has also provided monthly stipends of N30,000 to elite players, which have been disbursed for an eight-month period. Seven beneficiaries have received a total of N240,000 each, ensuring continued support for their athletic and academic pursuits. The recipients of these stipends include Emmanuel Alex, Itodo Ojonimi, Emmanuel Samuel, Isaac A. James, Rosemary Sunday, Pamela Bawa, and Blessing Okpara.

The players expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Engineer Nimrod, who also serves as the President of the Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF). Their excitement was palpable as they praised his commitment to fostering talent in the sport and prayed for continued blessings and protection for him.
