NNL Boss Extols El-Kanemi For Winning President Federation Cup

Chairman, Nigeria National League (NNL), Mr. George Aluo has congratulated Maiduguri based El-Kanemi Warriors Football Club for their impressive victory over Abia Warriors of Umuahia in the final of the President Federation Cup decided Saturday at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan Lagos

The coach Aliyu Zubairu lads thrashed the Warriors of Umuahia under the tutelage of Berthel Orji 2-0 to win their first domestic title in Nigeria’s oldest football competition in 32 years.

El-Kanemi Warriors qualified alongside Nasarawa United, Beyond Limits Football Academy and Ikorodu City from the recently concluded NNL Super 8 in Enugu to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).

Mr. Aluo in a message to the Warriors said: ”You have proven yourselves to be worthy ambassadors of NNL…Your ticket to the NPFL was no fluke. The victory is a victory for NNL and we are proud of El Kanemi’s achievement.”

Continuing, Aluo added: “El Kanemi’s feat also defines the quality of NNL and underscores the fact that it is truly the Most Important league in Nigeria.”
