No LG Caretaker C’ttee Dissolved In Taraba, Says Ishaku

Governor of Taraba State, Darius Ishaku has debunked rumours on social media that he has dissolved the 16 local government caretaker committees in the state.

The governor made this known few days after he lost his senatorial bid to represent Taraba South at the National Assembly.

Ishaku in a statement signed by his chief press secretary, Iliya Bekyu said the government has no intention to do such.

The governor regretted that some social media handlers instead of making good use of the social media engage in meaningless propaganda to deceive the general public with fake news.

“The general public is therefore advised to disregard such rumours which are completely false and misleading,” he added.
