‘No Turning Back’ Redefines Gospel Music – Gaise

The Afro gospel song ‘No Turning Back’ is reshaping how gospel music is viewed. Released by Akinade Ibuoye, aka Gaise Baba, the track and its video featuring gospel minister Lawrence Oyor have already surpassed one million streams within just two weeks,a remarkable achievement.

Self-styled singer and performing artiste, Gaise Baba in an interview said that the song, ‘No Turning Back’ off a popular christian tune, is a reflection of what is brewing in the music world with the Afro Gospel Genre taking centre stage and acceptance globally.

“The song, ‘No Turning Back’ originally released last year is a testimony that there is a paradigm shift in culture and music is conveying this via the Afro Gospel genre. I said that Afro beats has has had its time, Afro Gospel is taking over and comes with a message of love, passion and dedication to the cause of Christ. Watch Out!” Gaise Baba pointed out in an interview. .

No Turning Back with a dance step and inspirational chants by Lawrence Oyor, has captured the young folks and adult alike has suddenly begun a widely accepted song which speaks of dedication to God and his cause for the gospel of Christ..

Gaise Baba, a graduate from Obafemi Awolowo University, has been doing music for 15 years and has released gospel hits like Elijah Level, Particularly, Emergency. The trending musician is a polymath, culture architect and award-winning Afro-fusion artiste performs socially conscious music in Yoruba, English and the West African Lingo, Pidgin.
