North Central Commission Collaborates With NSCDC To Tackle Insecurity

The North Central Development Commission (NCDC), has said it is collaborating with the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) towards tackling the rising insecurity across the region.

Its managing director/chief executive officer,Dr. Cyril Tsenyil Yiltsen, has revealed.

A statement by the Commission’s NCDC Media and Corporate Communications Department, said discussion to the effect took place during a courtesy visit by the Nasarawa State Command of the NSCDC to the headquarters of the Commission in Lafia.

The managing director acknowledged the strategic importance of security in the successful execution of development projects and programmes across the region.

He said as the Commission expands its operations and activities within the North Central zone, the NSCDC will play a greater role in addressing insecurity, monitoring and protecting projects, facilities, and other development initiatives.

He appreciated the support and cooperation the Corps has continued to extend to the Commission since its establishment.

He praised the dedication, professionalism, and commitment of the NSCDC, noting that the Commission holds the security outfit in high esteem because of the cordial working relationship already established between both organisations.

Speaking earlier, the NSCDC, Commandant iin the state, Mr. Samson Omaru, said the visit was aimed at reciprocating an earlier visit by the NCDC management to the command, adding that gesture will strengthen institutional ties between both organisation.

He expressed delight that the Commission had identified the NSCDC as a key partner in its developmental drive, stressing that the Corps remains committed to supporting the Commission in achieving its mandate.

He reaffirmed the readiness of the NSCDC to ensure the success of the Commission through continuous collaboration, professionalism, and its unwavering mandate of protecting critical national infrastructure and assets.

Commandant Omaru also reiterated the Corps’ loyalty and commitment to service, noting that security remains essential for sustainable growth and development.
