Executive secretary of the Taraba State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), Dr. Audu Echuseh, at the meeting, underscored the Taraba State Government’s commitment to strengthening disaster management under the leadership of Governor Agbu Kefas.
The forum further explored ways to improve the use of data for early warning and risk analysis, while also identifying priority actions to strengthen institutional coordination for disaster response and recovery.
Other stakeholders at the meeting noted that, improved collaboration between state agencies and development partners would be critical to building resilience in communities vulnerable to natural disasters and other emergencies.
The meeting, however produced actionable steps and proposed support mechanisms, aimed at enhancing emergency preparedness and resilience across the North-East region.
