The 414 women from the 19 Northern States and FCT who gathered at the Women Development said they are moving into the villages to ensure that all the Northern Christians vote for Atiku.

The women who described Atiku as a detribilised Nigerian, said everyone in the country will be safe with the PDP government.

Speaking, the National President, Northern Christian Women Coalition (NCWC) Support Group, Princess Leah Solomon, said Nigerians should be happy to have a great unifier in Atiku Abubakar adding that by 2023, the Northern Christian Women will ensure Atiku win the presidency.

She said her target is the unity of the country, adding that many people are not happy with the division, hunger while Children cannot go to school.

“414 women leaders in the North attended this Programme. We want Atiku and we will work for him. We have to prove this because experience is the best teacher and Atiku has the experience,” she said.

A former first lady of Adamawa State, Zainab Boni Haruna, said they are supporting Atiku because everyone including the Church will be happy having him as the President.

Zainab, whose Husband Boni Haruna was Atiku’s running mate and became the governor after Obasanjo picked him as Vice President, said Atiku don’t discriminate.

“The Northern Christian Women have risen for Atiku because some people wanted to deceive them. As we saw the Obidient movement, we have told our rural women to know that there is hope with Atiku. He will not play politics of ethnicity.

“We have been working with him and we are confident in Atiku. Issues that concern Northern Christian Women will be addressed. Everybody would be carried along.

Also speaking, the former governor of Niger State, Babangida Aliyu said Nigerians especially the women should ensure they deliver their votes to Atiku adding that he will address the challenges bedeviling the country.

Babangida Aliyu who decried what he described as retrogression of Nigeria, said things have gone from good to bad in Nigeria.

“When Buhari came to power, every index went from good to bad. Atiku is the man that can help in the unity of the country. We must ensure we deliver Atiku,” Aliyu said.

The Atiku/Okowa campaign spokesman, Sen Dino Melaye, who was excited to see the number of women that gathered for Atiku, said the northern Christians should not be deceived.

“I am more excited to see that the next first lady of Nigeria is here. Many Christian in Nigeria are contemplating voting along religious line. A vote for Peter Obi is a vote for APC. Once you vote for Peter Obi you vote for Asiwaju.

“In most of the senatorial districts, the labour party only fielded 30 out of 109 seats. Less than half in the house of representative seats and in the State house of assemblies.

“Labour Party is not mature for national elections. You can have a government that doesn’t have seats in the national assembly.

“Why should we waste our votes? If Peter Obi is not nationalistic, every candidate need 177,000 people to be your agent. If you are to pay N10,000 for an agent, that’s around N17.7 billion and Peter Obi and Labour Party says they don’t give shi shi.

“Atiku is the more detribilised Nigeria. He is not for Hausa, Fulani neigher Muslim. He work for everybody, he is for everyone.

“Atiku has more Christian friends than Muslims. Me that is working for him, I am not just a Christian, I am anointed,” Dino Melaye added.
