NPC Engages 982 Enumerators In Daura

National Population Commission (NPC) said it has engaged 982 personnel that will commence building numbering and household listing in and across the 492 Enumeration Areas (EAs)of Daura local government area of Katsina State.

Speaking during the second stakeholders meeting for the conduct of trial census in Daura LGA of the state, the federal commissioner of the National Population Census, Katsina State, Engr. Bala Almu Banye disclosed that two persons are trained to work in each of the 492 EAs.

According to him, the enumerators are to commence work today and are expected to complete the exercise in six days, 18th of July, while the validation of enumeration areas would begin from 19th to 21st July, 2022 respectively.

He said, “In this segment, the Data Quality Managers (DQMs) using Data Quality Monitoring Resources at their disposal including enumeration tracking dashboard will run a data quality assessment check on all Enumeration Areas (EAs) and direct field coordinators and supervisors to conduct spot-checks and make necessary interventions.

“The validation will take 3 days only and thereafter the DQMs will verify and approve for proceeding to the enumeration of persons. Actual enumeration of all persons- 22nd – 26th July, 2022 (five days), after the validation, enumerators are to start enumeration of all persons on a de-facto basis.”
